Appearance
Compared to the modern appearance of the high-priced furniture-grade cardboard scratchers, The Catit Style Scratcher doesn’t even come close. But if you compare this product to other throw-away cardboard scratchers, it is much more appealing. It still looks like a cardboard cat scratcher, but the jungle pattern design gives it some style, just like the name says.
Owner-Friendliness
Since the Catit Style Scratcher is made of lightweight corrugated cardboard, it will start shedding immediately. And depending on how aggressive your cat is, this can result in a rather large mess. The most owner-friendly feature of this product is the price. Some owners won’t mind the added mess and the hassle of having to replace this scratcher every few months. Our preference at Kitty Loaf is to spend the extra money on the longer-lasting scratchers. But our cats are a bit rougher on scratchers than the average cat.
Cat-Friendliness
Most cats love scratching cardboard. Some prefer the lightweight corrugated cardboard because it is easier to shred. Others prefer sisal and heavy-duty corrugated cardboard because it’s stronger and does a better job at removing the outer layer of their claws. As a horizontal scratcher, The Catit Style Scratcher is a bit smaller than average. It does however make a nice bed. Catnip was also included with the scratcher.
Quality / Longevity
The Catit Style Scratcher is made of lightweight cardboard that is intended to be a throw-away product. It is nicer-looking and higher quality than some of the other throw-away cardboard scratchers on the market. Depending on your cat’s behavior, this cat scratcher should last between 1 and 3 months. That’s significantly less than similarly-priced sisal scratching posts.

Price
The Catit Style Scratcher (Jungle-Stripe Lounge) can be found on amazon.com for as little as $5 or as much as $20. It is pricier than your standard, no frills cardboard scratcher, but way cheaper than our top-rated heavy-duty corrugated cardboard scratchers.
